Daniel Boone was the Berry family's male black Labrador Retriever who was lost to a vehicle strike in August 2007. Daniel was a rescue, having been discovered as a half-grown, half-starved puppy in a old school building that was being prepared for demolition. JB and Carrie nursed the little guy back to health and he turned into a very sweet, exuberant dog.
