Emma, Gloria's female yellow Labrador Retriever, is a New Year's Eve baby, born on Dec 31, 1998. She began simple search training at 6 weeks and was formally introduced to the team at 8 weeks. She performed her first stranger scent find in the woods the following month. She has attended four NASDN seminars, one CSAR seminar, and is nationally certified by NASDN for both Cadaver and Mantrailing III. She has working experience in both disciplines, as well as water recovery. She and Gloria trained in January 2002 at the Indiana SEMA Search and Rescue Academy at Camp Atterbury, IN. She has also been to the "Body Farm."
