Sammi (Samantha) was the Noel family's female German Shepherd who was lost to a sudden illness in August 2009. She worked Search and Rescue most of her life, primarily in land cadaver but more recently in mantrailing and water. She was also an excellent article-search canine.
She was able to play in her yard and even go swimming in the pond up to the day of her death.
