Keitha was a K9 Handler who joined BSARD in September 2010.
She was a fan of German Shepherd Dogs, and trained 3 for Mantrailing, Human Remains Detection on Land, and Human Remains Detection in Water during her time with BSARD.
She and her sister Sharon left BSARD in August 2014 to form their own K9 SAR team a little nearer to where they lived. During Keitha’s time with BSARD she participated in 14 search operations.
K9 Eva, Active 2014
Eva was a female German Shepherd Dog who Keitha began training as a puppy for Mantrailing in February 2014.
She left with Keitha to form part of their new team in August 2014.
K9 Bones, Active from 2011 to 2014
Bones was a male German Shepherd Dog who Keitha adopted February 2011.
During his career he was certified for Mantrailing, Human Remains Detection on Land, and Human Remains Detection in Water.
Bones left with Keitha to form part of their new team in August 2014. During his 3-1/2 year tenure with BSARD he participated in 9 search operations.
K9 Zeeke, Active from 2010 to 2014
Zeeke was a male German Shepherd Dog who came to BSARD with Keitha in September 2010.
During his career he was certified for Mantrailing, Human Remains Detection on Land, and Human Remains Detection in Water.
Zeeke left with Keitha to form part of their new team in August 2014. During his nearly 4 year career with BSARD he participated in 7 search operations.
