Bryan was a founding member of BSARD, with several years experience as a Kennelmaster before our establishment in 2004. His father Dave was a Senior K9 Handler on the team.
As Kennelmaster, Bryan was responsible for the care and well-being of the dogs when they were standing by in the staging area or their handlers were away performing other duties. This would include caring for the dogs in their crates, making sure they had clean water and were not in any distress as well as exercising the dogs for potty breaks and to keep them from being in their crates for an extended period. A handler coming back from an assignment would often hand his or her K9 to Bryan while he or she went to report, and Bryan would look over and take care of the dog until the handler came back.
Bryan was active until he and Dave left the team in January 2010. During his time with BSARD he participated in 2 search operations with the team.
